About Dr. Jeff Lazarus, MD, FAAP

Dr. Lazarus is a board-certified pediatrician. He received his training in pediatrics at Stanford University Medical Center. He has written the chapters on nocturnal enuresis, or bedwetting, in the last couple of hypnosis textbooks.

He is an internationally recognized expert on hypnosis for nocturnal enuresis. He has also had the privilege of teaching workshops on this subject at the International Society of Hypnosis, where he taught clinicians from around the world how to use these techniques to help their patients attain dry nights.

Dr. Lazarus became interested in medical hypnosis as a patient himself. After trying traditional therapies for plantar warts without success, he recalled that one of his five-year-old patients had rid himself of hundreds of warts with self-hypnosis.

Dr. Lazarus contacted Karen Olness, M.D., Professor of Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine. She was also co-author of the premier book in the field of pediatric hypnotherapy, Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy with Children.

Dr. Olness taught Dr. Lazarus the technique of self-hypnosis, and within three weeks, his own warts disappeared – never to return.

Since then, Dr. Lazarus has studied intensively with some of the most renowned experts in the field of medical hypnosis, and he has applied the techniques he has learned to help hundreds of children, as well as adults, overcome personal difficulties.

Dr. Lazarus combines more than 25 years in general pediatrics with a 23-year medical hypnosis practice.

He has also lectured on this topic to several institutions, including:
